Online Counseling for Adults Across Idaho

You’re starting to recognize that your inner critic is ever present and no matter how hard you try you can’t quiet the voice. You’ve done therapy in the past and have found some benefits, but you still feel there is something missing and that there must be something more to healing.

Hi, I’m Tami. I know the voice you’re talking about. And the frustration that comes with trying to quiet it. I work with people who have anxiety and trauma of all kinds. I see childhood trauma with lasting affects into adulthood. And, I see people feel better through trauma work. I came to this work through my own experiences with counseling. I have learned a lot through counseling, yet it wasn’t until I experienced Internal Family Systems (IFS) that I truly felt the changes I was looking for. IFS has allowed me to connect to parts of myself in a way that has become a way of life and a continued practice of inner growth. As I get to know parts of myself that I once found frustrating or challenging, I can now see how these parts have only been trying to help me. This way of understanding myself has also allowed for more curiosity, compassion and connection with my clients. I continue to find IFS incredibly valuable, and I find it a privilege to be part of others’ healing journeys.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing in Idaho via telehealth. I have served the community in various settings since I graduated in 2014. I have a broad range of counseling experience with my specialty area being in trauma and anxiety. I always approach my work and life from a social justice mindset. I honor diversity and support each individual’s uniqueness in their cultural contexts. I strive towards continual self-reflection and embrace culturally sensitive care to all people.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and a Minor in Psychology from Boise State University. I went on to earn a Master of Arts in Counseling, also from Boise State University.

I am IFS Level 1 trained from The IFS Institute and EMDR I and II trained from EMDR International Association. I have training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and I receive continuing education every year. I consider myself a lifelong learner and I value education and continual self-reflection.
